Tuesday 30th April, 4.30 – 6.30pm, Galway One World Centre, 76 Prospect Hill, Galway
PhotoVoice is an exciting and empowering approach that has been used around the world, with a wide variety of groups, ages and abilities. Through the facilitated use of photography and discussion of images, children and young people can be supported to explore and express their perspectives on a range of topics. Using the Photo Voice approach, young people can be supported to generate their own photographic work with the aim of supporting them to define, communicate and address issues of importance to them. This workshop, facilitated by Lizzie Downes, a former teacher and now lecturing at the Marino Institute, who will take participants through the basic PhotoVoice theory and guidelines, and the chance to experience some practical applications.
There is no charge for the workshop, though donations are welcome. Spaces are limited, so booking is advised: please contact Trish at firstname.lastname@example.org / 0872645344 for further information.
