The Galway One World Centre in conjunction with IDEA and the Huston School of Film & Digital Media has organised a workshop on ‘basic film making techniques’ for educators and community activists. This hands-on workshop aims to build participants’ skills in using film-making as a means of public engagement with their work. We will consider what sort of messages we would like to communicate about our work, and how these messages can be effectively communicated via film. Working with a professional film-maker, we will plan and shoot a simple film.
