The Debt Justice Action network is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, 21st
of February at the Harbour Hotel, Galway. All are welcome.
This public meeting aims to help us gain a better understanding of the scale
and nature of the debt repayments to former Anglo Irish Bank / Irish
Nationwide Building Society (INBS) and the strong arguments for suspension
of the next payments falling due in March.
How did we as a society end up paying?these debts? What will the impact of
these ongoing payments be on our communities, and society at large? And
most crucially, how can we work together to challenge this injustice?
This is an informal information-sharing meeting open to all individuals and
community-based organisations, with a focus on the various ways we can all

Linking the cuts and charges to the debt
Brief on the Anglo / INBS Debt and Q&As with Tom McDonnell from
independent economic think-tank TASC
Inspiration and Lessons from the Global South with Vicky Donnelly, Galway
One World Centre
Group discussions looking at key questions of the impacts paying these
debts will have on our communities and what practical measures we can take
to stop them

getting involved and taking action in our own communities.
