Latin America Week (Galway) this year is being celebrated from 27th September until 1st October in venues across the city.

Tuesday, 27th September @ 1pm: Radio Bemba – Spanish Conversation Sessions. GOWC, 76 Prospect Hill.
Tuesday, 27th September @ 7pm: Cuba – the test of time. Personal testimony by Mercedes Varona. Ruby Room, King’s Head, Quay Street.
Wednesday, 28th September @ 6pm: Zapatista Spring – Ramor Ryan will launch his new book about international solidarity and the Zapatista movement. Galway City Library, Augustine Street.
Thursday, 29th September @ 8pm: The people’s cabaret / el cabaret del pueblo. Storytellers, poets, singers, performers and anyone who brings a scrap of inspiration will be welcome to share it at this unique multilingual event.. ar aghaidh libh, adelante, no mames guey.. Upstairs at Kelly’s, Bridge Street.
Saturday, 1st October @ 2pm: Latin America Film Festival. Huston School of Film & Digital Media, NUI Galway.
Films include Pictures from a Revolution, Nicaragua 1991, Impunidad, Colombia 2010 (Director Juan Lozano will attend the screening), De Nadie / No one, Mexico 2004.
